Jeanie Marie Buss (born Jeanie Marie Buss) is an American woman in business. Her current position is that of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA's majority owners. Buss is a native of California and grew up as part of a rich family. The father of her Jerry Buss was a real-estate tycoon, who was later the owner of the Lakers as well as other sports companies. After her parents split up in 1972, she believed they'd left her. When she was 19 years old, she became the general manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team.
