Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston was conceived to a musical family 9 August 1993, in Newark New Jersey. Whitney is the daughter and cousin to singing superstar Dionne. When she was a little girl, Houston began singing professionally in the choir of her church. Houston sang the backing vocals for Chaka Khosn's single from 1978 Im Every Woman with her mother. In 1981, she briefly was a model, and was featured on the Seventeen album cover. She also provided back vocals for Lou Rawls and Jermaine. Her singing with New York-based band Material brought attention to major record labels which included Arista. She signed with Arista in 1983 and spent the remainder of her professional career. Whitney Houston, her debut album that debuted in 1985 was the top-selling album of the debut artist. All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one single. It sold three million copies its first year, and over 25 million worldwide. Her first six Grammys. The Whitney album followed in 1987 and the singles How Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to build on the success of her first album. It was, however, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her status as one the world's most popular artist. Although the film was not highly appreciated and neither did her performance, but the soundtrack of the film's Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You was able to reach the number one spot on both the singles and album charts across the US for a period of time. It sold 44,000,000 copies. The same year, she was married to Bobby Brown who was a previous New Edition singer. She had their sole daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown in the month of March, 1993. Around this time, her well-documented substance abuse began and by 1996, the singer had been using drugs on a daily basis.

Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchorperson for the CNN reporter and political reporter for CNN. She has been the producer of shows on the network such as Evans & Novak' Late Editionas well as Inside Politics'. Bash was awarded a Women in Washington Power List prize in Elle magazine. Known to possess incredible anchoring/reporting skills she is admired by many young journalists in the industry. On a personal level, the graduate of George Washington University is a doting mother to her only son. The couple was married twice before but is not currently married.
