Whitney Elizabeth Houston is the youngest of four kids born in Newark, the state of New Jersey, on August 9 1993. Her parents are gospel singer Cissy Houston - born Emily Lee Drinkard - and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick was also an international singer. Whitney's mother and her began to sing professionally together in the church of New Hope Baptist, Newark at the age of 15 years old. The two sang back vocals for Chaka Kans' hit song from 1978 Im Every Woman. The singer went on to sing backing vocals for Jermaine Jackson, Lou Rawls and her own mother and was briefly models on the cover of Seventeen magazine in 1981. Her singing with New York-based group Material brought attention to major record labels which included Arista. They signed her with Arista in 1983 and continued to work for the rest of her professional career. Whitney Houston became the top-selling debut record by a young artist in the year 1985. Several hit singles including the hit songs Saving All My Love For You How Can I Tell You If You Give Good Love and The Most Beautiful Love of All were released from the album setting the stage for her to beat the Beatles with seven consecutive US top 10s. The album debuted in 1987 and sold 25 million copies around the world. Dana Bash also known as Dana Ruth Schwartz is an American anchor of a reporter as well as a political journalist for CNN. Additionally, she produces a number of show on weekends for the channel including Evans & Novak Late Edition and Inside Politics. She has also collaborated with NBC and CBS. Bash is the recipient of numerous awards and honors. Elle magazine once listed her in the magazine's Women in Washington Power List. She's known to possess remarkable anchoring skills and her reporting abilities are highly regarded by younger journalists. Also, she's a devoted mom to her son despite being a graduate from George Washington University. She's been had two marriages. Her current relationship is not formal. Bash is a strong, independent and tough woman. She is passionate about her fans.
